Lina Johansson is an award-winning visual designer with a background in Interface Design, UX, marketing and brand development.
A few things in my wheel house:
I have been working in the design field for over ten years after earning my BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. My original focus was primarily on branding where I use my storytelling skills to tell a company’s story. My own story starts in Göteborg, Sweden where I started drawing the Åby racehorses outside my bedroom window. Drawing my whole life put me on this journey, crossing oceans and continents ending up in Los Angeles, CA, currently working in the tech industry. There my focus has shifted to include UI/UX design and product development.
I describe myself as an idealistic creative. I love great design and human behavior intersecting with technology. Spending my formative years working in the entertainment and tech taught me that companies have to put their user’s needs first. That is why I always put the user at the center of every project. Through my consulting work, I’ve helped companies and young startups identify their voice, what their user needs, and position their brand to stand out from their competitors. I’m a big advocate for inclusivity, and diversity at work, believing everyone should have a voice.
“I was the shyest human ever invented, but I had a lion inside me that wouldn’t shut up.” ~Ingrid Bergman
Along the way I have discovered a love of travel, learning new cultures, and seeing everything this world can offer. I enjoy collecting classic movie soundtracks on LP, hiking, and surfing.
