SVB Bank, also known as Silicon Valley Bank, was a prominent financial institution that caters specifically to the needs of technology and innovation-driven companies. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, SVB Bank has established itself as a trusted partner for startups, venture capital firms, and established technology companies. Its expertise in supporting innovation and entrepreneurial ventures made SVB Bank a go-to institution for technology-focused businesses seeking tailored financial solutions to fuel their growth and success.
THE CHALLENGE
Meeting with the client at InvestCloud's office, we were hired to design and launch their new client portal, which would encompass a fully responsive web portal and a native app. It was crucial for the client that the portal be as innovative as the clients they manage. After guiding them through our design workshop, we established four key product goals:

Given SVB's profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs and its extensive network within the technology industry, the portal needed to offer a comprehensive range of financial services, including banking, lending, investment, and global treasury solutions. We leveraged our demo BB8 product's standard pages (Design System linked below) as a foundation, allowing us to allocate more time to fulfilling specific client requests, such as bill payments, wire transfers, and custom alerts. Security was also a top priority for the client, leading us to implement encryption and multi-factor authentication measures to safeguard customer information and transactions.
OUTCOME
The collaborative efforts between our team and the client resulted in a successful design and launch of the client portal within a remarkably efficient six-month timeframe. The outcome of this project exceeded expectations and brought immense value to InvestCloud and its clients.
Since its launch, the client portal has garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from InvestCloud's clientele. Its transformative and empathetic design resonated with users, fostering deeper engagement and stronger relationships. The proactive navigation capabilities of the portal surpassed expectations, anticipating clients' needs and delivering a personalized experience.
